The parking lot is the area of the strip mall that is the hardest to maintain because of the amount of customers that frequent the area, and the fact that wind can and does blow trash into the area immediately after it has been cleaned. Foremost there are solutions to prevent public trash from randomly blowing into your lot which can be discussed . The sidewalks and entrances are an area that should Always be kept clean. For this we are willing to clean this area more frequently so that the customers going into the stores and your store owners do Not have to deal with trash in this area. This is an area that I have seen cleaners from other companies Not in a uniform, and Not thoroughly cleaning the area. The only thing that lets you know what they are doing is the fact they have a bucket and a pick up stick. Our workers are fully uniformed which separates them from the shoppers and also lets the shoppers know that the business is using a cleaning company that cares about its appearance and the appearance of the business. The customers will begin to correlate the appearance of the cleaners with the appearance of the business areas and see how they go hand in hand, ultimately making your business location a more desirable place to shop! GARBAGE BUILDUP AND TRASH RECEPTACLES

There are a few concerning topics involving trash and the receptacles if you hire a company to clean your business. The first thing is the frequency that the garbage bags are emptied and changed. Overflowing garbage cans say a lot about who is cleaning the business. It may take a week or two to track which days are the busiest, but from the start the patterns of the traffic to your business should be observed, also by simply keeping track of how fast the trash accumulates in the receptacles and creating a schedule around that. This is something that we often see neglected by cleaners from other companies.

The next concerning thing is the trash receptacle itself. In the majority of the businesses I frequent I notice that even if the trash is emptied and presentable the receptacle itself is Not. The outside of the receptacles are usually filthy and covered in the same substances that went into it. We cant say that you deserve the best and not do the best for you, so we clean the outside of the receptacle as well as change the bag.

The next concerning thing about the trash and receptacles is the placement of the receptacles or lack there of. If you want your business to be free of trash and debris you have to give people a place to put it near where you know they will have the convenience to just toss it. This is near the exits in front of the stores and in the parking lots spaced out between the cars. Based on common behavior most people will not do more or go any farther than they have to, which means that they will throw their trash very close to where they open or finish consuming the product. The placement of trash receptacles simply takes thinking like a customer and observing their behavior while at your property, which is what we will do.

The last concerning thing about the trash and receptacles involves the people you have cleaning your business. Another plus to having uniformed workers is giving customers someone to help them with common shopping issues that involve spills, where to find a receptacle and basic customer service help. The cleaners sent to your property are a part of the stores located there too, and should be a plus to them while onsite. This means sending cleaners that are personable people that have good customer service skills as well as good work ethics. How many times have you have you had hands full of something you wanted to throw away and could not find a receptacle? Wouldn’t it have been nice to have someone to show you instead of someone uninterested in doing their job that you probably didn’t even know was a cleaner … I personally have had altercations with cleaners at shopping plazas that had negative personality disorders that were not vetted by their company. I have had cleaners sweep my feet with a broom repeatedly…. I have had cleaners literally mop my feet leaving my shoes soaked and then ask me if I had a problem? I have had cleaners picking up trash follow me around the shopping center as if stalking me, and once again the only way I knew that these people were cleaning the property is because they were holding a bucket and pick up stick. Using a company that sends quality workers to your property can be a plus that makes a shoppers experience even better or a negative that makes them not want to return.
